Firing workshops:


Soda Vapor Propane Kiln:

I am now running a soda fire class at The Lighthouse ArtCenter.

Anagama Wood Fire Kiln:

  1. •$150 per cu/ft (the size of a standard milk crate)

(I load and fire your work.  You can use my glazes and slips.  You can use your own CONE 10 clay.  You need to give me a sample of the clay you intend to use so I can first test it to make sure it is CONE 10 clay.)


  1. •$20 for one 25# bag of my Lambert Wood Fire Clay Body 

(Whatever you can make from the bag of clay gets into the kiln, usually a little more than 1 cu ft.  This is the most common option.  You still need to pay for your space in the kiln.)




I fire the Anagama 4 times per year, 2 of which are open to workshop participation.  Workshop firings are in December, and March.  Email me ASAP to sign up, firings fill up quickly.  I can accommodate 12 participants per firing.  CLICK HERE FOR INFORMATION ON THE NEXT ANAGAMA FIRING.


Kiln Building and Firing Workshops at your Kiln/Studio:


Are you having trouble firing and producing quality work from your reduction, soda, or wood kilns?  Do you want a kiln onsite, but have no idea how to build a kiln?  I will come build, load, fire, and help you understand how to fire your kilns.  I have thousands of hours of experience building and firing atmospheric kilns of all shapes and sizes.  I will share my knowledge of loading, firing, kiln construction, and clay/slip/glaze formulation so you can produce consistent, quality firings on a regular basis.


  1. •$300 per day (plus travel expenses)
